POPULAR POSTS & SEXY TOOLBELTS
Yesterday I did my 300th post on this blog. I'm about a month away from this blog's one year anniversary. I'm still amazed that in the 11 months this blog has been going, I've had just over 67,000 visitors to this site.
While looking back at some of my 300 different posts yesterday I found something strangely interesting. I've done two posts over the past year that are still extremely popular. It left me asking myself, "Why would my most popular posts be these two?" I'm not talking about which posts had the most comments, but which are the most popular by the number of hits they generate. I still get tons of hits on these two posts everyday from Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. One of the two, hands down, is my most popular post and the second is not far behind. Here's a random list of 8 posts. Can you guess the two most popular?

I got the "Extreme Home Makeover" sermon series off to a good start this past Sunday. The first lesson was "Hiring the Right Contractor" (Click to Listen). Just to get a point across during the sermon, I wore a tool belt and then later used a hard hat to make an application.
My wife Lea is so good to me ... after church she told me that it was not only a good sermon, but that I also looked incredibly hot in the tool belt :) I think I've just added a tool belt to my Christmas list!!!

Hey Trey, if you really want to drive her crazy, put some tools in it! But then you'll get the bug and start buying things like table saws and bisquit joiners and before long you'll be hanging out at Lowes all day long, and she'll just be hot under the collar.
My hubby preached with a tool belt on once, and people were distracted by the snips when he walked around (which is always - he can't stand still while he's preaching).
My guess is that the porn one was in the top 2 for obvious unfortunate reasons. I'm not sure about the other one, maybe the complaining one or about making your wife happy.

What you are doing is extremely man friendly. Tool Belt and hardhat this Sunday. Next Sunday? Tractor, bulldozer, free hammers for everyone, etc.

Ellis ... I was thinking the same thing, but more along the lines of wheelbarrows and shovels. I'm doing the "foundation" this Sunday. :)

The Long Beach church where I ministered 14 years decorates the auditorium / fellowship hall each year for Christmas season. We go all out in the auditorium with lights and three trees on the stage. A few years ago I wore a tool belt to hold some tools because I was putting up the high altitude lights along the crown moulding (sp?). One of the older ladies in the church made the remark to me, "I like you in a tool belt. Tool belts make men look sexy." I was tempted to wear that tool belt daily!

Lea said the tool belt looked good, but the hard hat was just the opposite. When I put it on it sucked the good right out of the tool belt!!! Ha

I love reading your blog brother.
I never know what I am going to take from it. Sometime I laugh. Sometimes it is challenging to my faith and relationship with Christ. Other times it challenges me to be a better husband and father and minister. Keep up the good work broher!

Blog hits are all about offering something unique, especially in the blog title. #2 and #6 (which seem to be popular choices) are talked/blogged about all to often.
