Here are my thoughts about marriage, family, raising children, humor, faith and the life God intended for us all. I am a Christian husband and father, who moonlights as the minister for the church of Christ in Childress, Texas. My wife Lea and I have been married for 21 years. We are doing our best to raise our 4 boys, who are all growing up way too fast.

How do bloggers decided what to write everyday?
There seems to be a lock on my brain today. I rarely know what each days topic will be until I sit down at the computer and God lays something on my heart. Perhaps I should get a ‘hat’ fill it with various words or subjects and just draw something out of it each day and take it from there.
Yes it would be easier if there were only two subjects. :)
I actually blogged about my last sermon topic. I gave away a $5.00 Starbucks gift card to one lucky person who entered a suggestion on a sermon topic I listed.
Just glad I'm not the only preacher type who looks like that. Oh, wait. It's a cartoon.
ya could say that about alot of stuff,, like coffee, and ice cream ! :)
Paul cut it down to one: Christ crucified. It was not until the final few years of my preaching ministry that I figured out just how right he was!
There's a good ebook that's free to help pastors and their wives with discouragement and burnout. You can find it at
http://www.stoppastorburnout.com. It's quite helpful.
i also preach sometimes back here in Cebu, Philippines. That's the hardest thing to do. well we really need to seek HIS face
