COMFORTABLE - NEW SERMON SERIES
I'm excited about the next six weeks of lessons I'll be doing. The series is called "Comfortable." Jesus never called his followers to be comfortable or to take up their easy chair, but to take up their cross. Like it or not, crosses are not comfortable and their purpose is for dying.

sounds interesting. i'll check out the podcast.
One of my greatest difficulties, though, is determining if I'm simply getting off the couch for the sake of getting uncomfortable.

A couple of weeks ago at Harding University they had lectureships here and one keynote speaker mentioned something a lot like this. He said after watching the movie Passion of the Christ he asked people what they thought of the movie and most said they were glad they didn't have to go through all that pain and suffering. He then made a point that we should take Jesus' example of pain and suffering instead of Christians thinking since He suffered we don't have to.
On a side note Trey, do you podcast your sermons on iTunes by any chance?
