I was visiting with my local funeral director who asked me if the elderly lady we were about to do a service for had been flying long? I didn't know what he was talking about until I saw the funeral folders he had printed up. There one of the songs was clearly titled, "Jesus, Save Your Pilot, Me.

One of my two sons couldn't understand why I once asked for the tape of "Elvira". This was many years ago. He thought I was so Christ like that he couldn't understand why I wanted a song like, "Hell Fira." Not exactly in your context but I loved the idea. gmj

I think it is awesome a child has the courage and faith to make such a bold statement. I have learned recently that not only did I hide my faith under a bushel, but in many cases I denied God altogether. I am working to change that and I can only hope I will take this and apply it to my own life. I know Christian can and do need to be passionate about their faith. If a child is capable I should be to. Great blog Trey.

Thank you for this wonderful post. I love the innocence that children have as I stay home with with my 3 year old son. He says something almost everyday that makes me laugh. I love this girls innocence.

I still have trouble with "At the Cross." You see my grandpaw had a version that he sang all the time. "In the bar, in the bar where I smoked my first cigar and the money from my pants rolled away. It was there by chance. I ripped my Sunday pants and now I have to wear them everyday!"

That''s funny. It's great when we can see beyond the mistake and see the intent of the heart.

My wife and I still have trouble (it's hard not to laugh) singing the song "Are you sowing the seed of the King, dumb (Kingdom) Brother" and we are still trying to find the biblical reference to the guy named Andy (Andy (and he) walks with me and he talks with me.....
