UPDATING THE BLOGROLL, TWITTER AND DAVID COOK
(BLOGROLL): I'd love to add your blog to my blogroll. I'm in the process of updating my blogroll. My blogroll is full of blogs that I like to read and most have my blog linked on their site. I try to keep it updated with new blogs and take down old broken links. The blogroll does gets lots of traffic, so I know it's getting used by others too. You can also email me your link by clicking here!

Anyway I'd LOVE to add your blog to my blogroll if it's not already on there. I'm a little cautious about just adding blogs without permission, because there are a lot of people who want to keep their blogs pretty private. If you are willing to let me add you to my blogroll, just leave me a comment with your blog address and I'll get you put in. And if you haven't stopped by my blogroll, there are a lot of good blogs to read over there.

(TWITTER): Okay, I'm going to give this Twitter thing a try. After a little encouragement from John Dobbs and Tucker, I finally signed up. My twitter updates are on the left hand side of my blog just under my profile. Maybe I can keep up with this better than I can my Facebook. I find it hard enough just to keep up with my blog. :)

(DAVID COOK): The Morgan family got to spend a little time with extended family this past weekend. The picture of the girl on the left is Jenny, one of Lea's cousins we watched grow up into a beautiful wife and mother. I did her and her husband's wedding a few years ago. What I didn't know is that she is friends with American Idol's David Cook. I told her I didn't believe her, so she showed me this picture. Sure enough ... Jenny and David Cook.

I guess that still doesn't make me famous, it just makes me know someone, who knows someone who is famous... shucks!

TULSA SOUL WINNING WORKSHOP
I was in Tulsa last week for their Soul Winning Workshop with my two oldest boys (Taylor and Parker) and Ryan, the kid I call my fifth son. (Zack, in the blue AIM shirt, is a new friend who's headed to Scotland.) While I was gone, Lea wrote a couple of posts for me (here and here). What an amazing wife I have. Not only did she post, but did you notice she did what looked a lot like a "Top 10" list. You know me, I love top ten lists. Once again it goes to show you, I married up!

What an amazing experience I had last weekend at the Tulsa Workshop. I heard some fantastic lessons on prayer, and the praise and worship was what I imagine heaven being like. It was a good chance for me to refill my tank spiritually.

I met a ton of old friends, bloggers and a bunch of people who read my blog. There is nothing more cool, and at the same time, more humbling than someone you don't know coming up and saying, "Hey, I read your blog!" Here are a few of the bloggers I visited with ...

Shane Coffman - What an amazing man. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet him and hug his neck. Shane was having some health issues and wasn't feeling well. He did do an outstanding job leading the praise and worship. I've enjoyed getting to know Shane through his blog, but he's even more amazing in person. Besides I couldn't help but laugh when I saw him, his picture on his blog looks exactly like him!

Patrick Mead - I've listened to Patrick Mead sermons on my iPod for about a year, but this was the first time I had a chance to meet him and hear him live and in person. Outstanding! You can hear Patrick Mead sermons by clicking here.

John Dobbs - Believe it or not I was in the presence of royalty. I finally got to meet and visit with the Blog King, John Dobbs. John has one of the longest running blogs around. It was a blessing to meet and spend a little time with this man of God. I really wanted more of John's time to visit, but it just didn't work out. Every time I saw John I couldn't help but smile. What a great man.

Darin Hamm - Got a chance to meet Darin after a Wade Hodges class. We didn't get much time to visit, but it was sure nice to meet a guy who writes an amazing blog!

Timbra - Timbra may get the award for coming the farthest (from California). Timbra is a long time friend and it was good to hug her neck and see her family.

Brie - Here's a cool youth minister's wife who is full of wit and wisdom. Enjoyed having lunch with her crew on Friday! I always enjoy Brie hanging out on my blog because she leaves such amazing comments!

Terry Rush - Organized the Tulsa Workshop and did a great job!

Keith Lancaster - Enjoyed visiting with Keith on Thursday. Keith is the long time member and founder of the singing group Acappella.

Craig Hicks - My long time friend and preaching school classmate. Craig spoke on Friday to the teenagers. I slipped in and listened to him preach. Craig is still the best preacher I know. His lesson was amazing. Hearing Craig and getting to visit with him made the whole trip worthwhile. On my way home from the Workshop I concluded, "Nothing has changed. Craig is still my favorite preacher."

James Adair - Got to see my old friend James for a few minutes on Friday. James and his wife, Kathy, are long time bloggers. It was good to see James and catch up on his life. By the way, Kathy wrote a fantastic post on marriage yesterday called, "Who's bringing sexy back?" You got to check it out!
I also caught up with Dwight Whitsett, a blogger who is full of wisdom and passion for missions. I'm glad I finally got to meet Dwight!

I do need to give a shout out to my new friend Tucker who was willing to drive numerous hours with his family of five, just to, in his words, "Meet his blogging idols." He told me that he had made it his goal to come to Tulsa to meet Craig Hicks, John Dobbs and myself. He came up to me at CiCi's pizza on Friday and introduced himself. What a super nice guy. I think Tucker got his wish and met all three of us. I just hope we didn't let him down. Ha!

LEA WILL BE POSTING TOMORROW
I'm heading to the Tulsa Workshop today. I'm excited about the speakers, the worship, catching up with old friends and the chance to meet a bunch of fellow bloggers that will be there.

I've been asking Lea to post for a long time. I think she got tired of me asking, so she gave in and said, "Yes." I didn't know what she was going to write about, but she used a suggestion from one of you readers. There were a lot of good suggestions made (except the one by my former friend David, about "Ten things the Church in Childress doesn't know about Trey - ha).

As promised, Lea will post tomorrow and I'm excited. As for the topic? It will be on one of these following suggestions from you...

THOUGHTS FROM A PREACHER'S WIFE
I'm pumped. I can't believe Lea agreed to it. I've been asking her for a long time and she finally said, "Sure."

What is it? Here are a few guesses from yesterday...

Corny, yes, but I've been asking Lea for months to be a guest blogger on my blog. Okay, I know it's not as exciting as a baby or a motorcycle, but it is to me. Lea's personality is both quiet and reserved. She's not big on having attention drawn to her, but she's so full of wisdom. I honestly didn't think she'd ever agree to this. I've asked her if she could do something for us next week, and she said she would. I feel a little like the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8).

What's she going to write? I actually have no idea (which kind of scares me). Lea may share her thoughts about being a minister's wife or about being the mother of four boys (five if you include me). I've given her a couple of ideas, but I just don't know what she's cooking up. I'm not sure she knows yet, but I told her she could do anything she wants. But you might help her out and give her an idea ...

Do you have any ideas for a good post from Lea next week?

TELL SOMEONE
Two weeks ago at my Uncle Roy's funeral, I visited with my friend Donnie. Just a couple of years earlier Donnie's son had died unexpectedly. Donnie was doing well but told me that after his son passed away he had made it his goal to tell people what he thought about them while they were still alive. Then he looked at me and told me, "I'm thankful that Roy was one that I sent a note to."

I stood there wishing I would have sent him a note or told him what he meant to me. At just 59 years old, everyone thought he had many more years. Now I'm stuck with believing that Roy knew that I loved him, but I would have felt better if I could have just told Roy before he was gone.

It's been since the funeral that I've committed to myself to tell people more often how I really feel about them. I've done a pretty good job over the past two weeks. Just yesterday I stopped a man at church that I highly respect, but had never told him how I felt. It took about two minutes to tell him just how much I love, admire and respect him. It felt good and was the right thing to do.

I plan to keep it up and that brings me to today. Today I wish to tell you, in all seriousness, how humbled and honored I am that you take a few minutes of your day to stop by this blog. I appreciate your reading and taking time to comment. You have blessed my life. Thank you for allowing me to share this ministry with you.

How about today you take the challenge of telling just one person how much they mean to you?

WHAT MAKES A GOOD BLOG?
I read through a lot of blogs each week. Last night while catching up on some of my blog reading, I noticed I was picking out my favorite blogs to read. There have always been blogs I like and then there are blogs I really like. I don't know about you, but there are a few specific things that draw me into a good blog.

Here are four things I really like in a blog:

  1. Present a relevant thought.

  2. Challenge my thinking.

  3. Make me laugh.

  4. Definitely, keep it short.
So what about you:

  1. What do you think makes a good blog?

  2. Why do you read the blogs that you do?

MY BLOGS FIRST BIRTHDAY
About one year ago I was encouraged by my Blog-Mother, Mommy Smart, to start a blog. She helped me get started and encouraged me daily during that dull first month. So today I celebrate my blog's 1st birthday. On November 14, 2006, "Rediscovering Church" was born. A few months later "Rediscovering Church" was changed to simply "Trey Morgan.net." Now as I look back on one full year of blogging one thing comes to my mind, "I can't believe I've stuck with this thing for a whole year."

Seriously, one year later, and 80,000 visitors later, I am amazed at how my life has been blessed by all of the wonderful friends I have made through this blog. You have become such a blessing in my life. I enjoy your comments, your opinions, your emails and your friendship.

As I spent some time this week looking back over a year's worth of posts, I had mixed emotions. Some posts I read I thought, "Wow, that was harsh. Did I really say that?" and others I thought, "What was I thinking when I wrote that?" All in all, I've loved sharing my thoughts. My goal when I started this blog was to post about the church and what God wanted it to be. Things changed over the course of a year, and my focus was more on marriage and family than anything else. I also got to thinking about what my favorite post was. If I had to delete every post on my blog but one, which one would I leave as my favorite post? I'll give you the answer later this week.

At the bottom of my blog there is an item called a site meter that tells me that hundreds of people visit everyday from all over the world. I think that is so cool. While some choose to leave comments, many still don't - and that's okay. But if I had one "blog birthday wish" today it would be for all those who stop by to leave me a comment telling me who you are and where you're from. If you're uncomfortable leaving a name, you can just leave me your initials. I'd love to know where you are from.

I don't know how long I'll keep on blogging, but I have to admit that the first year has been a lot of fun. My prayer is that this blog has been as much of a blessing in your life as it has been mine. Thanks for being my friend. :)

Trey

RELIGIOUS SECTS, CAVEMEN and NEW FRIENDS
It's been a crazy two days for Childress county. The tired folks that did all the counting came up with three different final numbers three different times. Finally yesterday afternoon they officially said going wet passed by seven votes. Tuesday night it was 47 votes then early Wednesday morning it was 2 votes, now it's 7. Everyone has been saying that it's like we're living the Miami-Dade 2000 presidential elections all over again. Remember the story of hanging chads and not knowing who the president was going to be for weeks?

I'm already tired of talking about last Tuesday's vote. Had I not promised you yesterday that I'd tell you about getting called a name, I would have skipped this altogether.

I found the following quote in the "comments" section of this story about the Childress wet verses dry issue. Here's the quote about those who were against going wet.

"When you have a group of people in a community that do not allow it to grow the town will die. Alcohol is not the issue here, it is a close minded religious sect that attempts to impose their beliefs on everyone."

Ouch. I never thought of myself as being a part of a close minded religious sect. Funny thing is 98% of all the people in Childress, Texas considers themselves to be a "Christian" or "Religious," but because you choose to vote "no" you immediately become part of a, "close minded religious sect that attempts to impose their beliefs on everyone." Interesting.

For a very brief second when I read it, my feelings were hurt, and then I remembered this.

I had a little fun with the sermon this last week. Believe it or not, it's okay to have a little fun in a sermon. I started a new series called "So Easy a Caveman Could Do It!" And no, I didn't dress up like a caveman. It deals with the fact that so many times we take things God intended to be easy and make them difficult. If we'd just do things like God wanted us to instead of complicating things ... our lives would be much simpler. So this past Sunday's lesson was "Doing Good - So Easy a Caveman Could Do It." Stop by here and listen if you want. Next week I'm doing "Salvation - So Easy a Caveman Could Do It."

One of the coolest things about having a blog is I get to meet so many people. I love getting an email from people and getting to know them better. I've been blessed over the last couple of weeks with a bunch of new friends dropping me a line. I heard from a guy named Clyde this morning. Looks like he's got a great blog, so I can't wait to add him to the blog roll. Ran into my old friend Jamie yesterday. I hadn't seen the guy since we were in school together about 20 years ago, and then I opened my email and there he was. Too cool. Shawn, my old youth minister, emailed me about two weeks ago. I've loved catching up with him and may even get to go spend a weekend with him very soon. Then there's sweet Beverly from Georgia and Raja from India, and I can't leave out Steven, Douglas, Caleta, David, Kathy and Susie. All who I've met in just the last couple of weeks. Blogging has been amazing, and I've enjoyed all the new acquaintances and old friends.

A POST FOR MOM
Since my Mom has become a regular reader of my blog I have learned some things about my posts. For one, my Mom still gets on to me about using words I shouldn't. Here I used the "F" word (no, not that f-word) and here I used the "B" word. After each of those posts she reminded me that those two words weren't words I should be using. I would tell you exactly what there were, but she might get me again for using them :)

I've also learned that my mom likes it when I post about family news and put up pictures up of her grandsons. It helps her to see what's going on in the Morgan family.
So Mom, here are some pictures for you. I love you.

Taylor asked to go to an Atlanta Braves game for his 18th birthday. So here are Taylor, Parker and I in Houston at Minute Maid Park, to see the Braves play the Astros. Although it was a 1000 mile trip in less than 24 hours, we still had a great time.

Out in front of the baseball stadium you'll find Parker & Taylor with a statue of Craig Biggio who played for the Astros.

Parker just beats the throw to second as he slides in safely for a stolen base. There were a few people standing around watching us take different poses with the statues. I'm sure they thought we were a little weird.

For Parker's 16th birthday he got a Texas Ranger's jersey and of course the old pickup that you can see here.

Mom, as you know we measure the boys every year on their birthday to see how much they've grown. Parker was 6'4'' this year (about an inch taller than me).

Cooper's turn to being measured. Although he's not quite 6'4'' he told us, "One day I will be."

Cooper riding the bicycle he picked out for his 6th birthday. The brakes on the new bicycle work much better than the brakes on this one (ha). It was a big crash.

Connor got Taylor his favorite thing for his 16th birthday ... a bag of Starburst. Mom, can you tell that Connor has spent the entire summer out in the sun?

Parker, Taylor and Ryan Wakefield. Ryan is the one we call our 5th son, and he's Taylor's best friend. We spent a lot of time raising and feeding this kid. Ryan and Taylor are planning on doing AIM together next year. This picture was taken at camp this summer. I have another picture, just like this one, that I took about 10 years ago at the same cross. All three of the boys in the same pose. Pretty cool to see how they've changed.

Mom, I just had to put this one in of Lea. Even after spending all day working in the sun, dirt and heat in Mexico City, she's still absolutely beautiful isn't she?

POPULAR POSTS & SEXY TOOLBELTS
Yesterday I did my 300th post on this blog. I'm about a month away from this blog's one year anniversary. I'm still amazed that in the 11 months this blog has been going, I've had just over 67,000 visitors to this site.

While looking back at some of my 300 different posts yesterday I found something strangely interesting. I've done two posts over the past year that are still extremely popular. It left me asking myself, "Why would my most popular posts be these two?" I'm not talking about which posts had the most comments, but which are the most popular by the number of hits they generate. I still get tons of hits on these two posts everyday from Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. One of the two, hands down, is my most popular post and the second is not far behind. Here's a random list of 8 posts. Can you guess the two most popular?

  1. 10 Traits of a Healthy Church

  2. Emotional Affairs

  3. Why Ministers Quit

  4. The Church is for Weirdos Too

  5. Ten Reasons I Don't Like People who Complain

  6. Free Porn or Porn Free

  7. Ten Things that will Make your Wife Happy

  8. The Most Popular Bible Translations
If you'll give me your best guess on the two most popular, I'll tell you the answer... tomorrow. I'll also tell you why I believe those two posts are so popular.

----------------------------------------

I got the "Extreme Home Makeover" sermon series off to a good start this past Sunday. The first lesson was "Hiring the Right Contractor" (Click to Listen). Just to get a point across during the sermon, I wore a tool belt and then later used a hard hat to make an application.

My wife Lea is so good to me ... after church she told me that it was not only a good sermon, but that I also looked incredibly hot in the tool belt :) I think I've just added a tool belt to my Christmas list!!!

GOD DOESN'T QUIT
This morning as I was looking at my blog I noticed I've got multiple articles or "posts" started, but I've never finished them. They have been sitting around for a long time waiting to be finished. Here are a few of their titles ....

What I realize is that I'm a great starter. I can start anything and everything. If you need something started, I am your man. The problem is I'm not a good finisher. I can't seem to finish all the things I start. I've started numerous books that I never finished. I've started sermons that I've never finished. I can't begin to tell you how many other projects I've started that I haven't finished.

I'm glad God's not like that. God is not only a good starter, but He's an even better finisher. Do you remember the old children's song, "He's still working on me, to make me all I have to be...?" I'm extremely thankful that He's not finished with me. I'm so far from where I want to be spiritually, and I've got so many flaws in my life that need serious work. I struggle spiritually, and I need God's help. As I cry out to the Lord, "Father, I'm a spiritual failure and I look nothing like your Son," I'm reminded He gently answers, "Trey, don't give up. I'm not finished with you yet."

"...being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 1:6

God hasn't quit on you, make sure that you don't quit on yourself.

"Father, thank you for your grace and your salvation. I thank you today, Father, that you have refused to quit on me. I know you will keep working in my life, and I continue to strive to be more like your Son. In His name I pray, Amen"

4 NEW "MUST READ" BLOGS
If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know that from time to time I like to mention new blogs that are really blessing me. Here are four new blogs I've added to my "must check" daily list. They may be worth your stopping by and reading too.

  1. Craig Hicks - Craig's blog is both honest and real. Craig will make you laugh at one moment and pull at your heart strings the next. Craig shares his heart like no other blog I've seen. He hides nothing and pulls no punches. I love Craig's blog!

  2. Brandon and Katie Price - Brandon and Katie are a young couple doing mission work in Ukraine. I have absolutely fallen in love with this young couple and their desire to do God's work. Their love for God and ability to reach the lost is amazing. Because of their spiritual adventures they write about everyday, their blog has become a regular stop for me.

  3. Rex Boyles - Let me just warn you ... if you're not wanting to be challenged or touched then stay far away from Rex's blog. Rex's blog will open your eyes to a Jesus you may never have seen. Some of Rex's posts will make you uncomfortable ... and there is NOTHING wrong with that. I have been so blessed by Rex's teaching for years and now he's blessing me with his blog too.

  4. Matt Howell - Matt is a loving husband, a great dad, a deacon and my friend. Matt just started blogging about two weeks ago. Matt has the ability to find some great spiritual applications in his everyday activities. Matt's blog is one of my regular stops too. Stop by and say "hello" to Matt when you get time.

HURRICANES, NEWS AND APOLOGIES
My friend Theresa and her husband Dennis are working at a children's home in Cozumel, Mexico. Hurricane Dean when right through there 3 day's ago. I emailed her last week and asked her if the hurricane was going to hit where she was and her response was:

"Yeah, looks that way right now...it is shifting some to the south but looks like it could be a direct hit. We are getting ready none the less. We have boarded up windows, moved a lot of furniture, and are getting the shelter ready at the church. We will be going to the church building tomorrow which is a hurricane refuge for the city and hang out there with a couple hundred people till it is over. Please be praying for us! WE will get back in touch when it is over and let everyone know how we are doing. I will be getting back into it after the storm."

It's been three days and I have yet to hear anything from Theresa. Please keep her and all those in Mexico in your prayers. If you get a chance drop by her blog and let her know you're praying for her.

---------------

Lea and I are headed to Bristol, Tennessee this weekend for the NASCAR rases (insert redneck preacher's joke here) with another couple from Childress. The other couple we're going with attend at the Methodist church. Rickey asked me last week if we were going to try and convert him and his wife Angie while we were on this trip together. I told him we didn't really want him, but we'd sure like to have his wife, Angie. :)

I'm really pumped about getting to spend some time away with Lea ... without our kids. As you know, sometimes when you still have children at home, your wife plays the role of your children's mother more often than she is plays the role of your wife. That's why time away from your kids is extremely important in every marriage. There has to be a relationship outside your children. So, it'll be good to spend some time with my wife this weekend and not my children's mother.

Oh, and make sure you watch for me on television Saturday night, I'll be sitting on the start/finish line with the big sign that reads "Real men love NASCAR." :)

-----------------

Sometimes it seems everything on my blog is very serious. Then there are times that everything is spiritual in nature. But for the past week it seems everything has been just the opposite. Every post this last week has seemed like it's a cartoons, family news or not so serious stuff. Sorry about that. I hope that doesn't bother you. I'll get back to the "serious" stuff soon enough.

Since we're talking about not-so-serious stuff lately, let me add that the other day I over heard a group of teenagers that were talking and one of them said, "did you know that I read that we only use 10% of our brains?" To which one of the others replied, "Wow, if we're only using 10% of our brains now, can you imagine what we could do in this world if we just used the other 60%?" That made me laugh out loud.

A BLOGGING MINISTRY
In the beginning I started blogging as a way to voice my thoughts and opinions, but more and more I'm seeing it as ministry that has really blessed me. My stat-tracker at the bottom of this page tells me that I can expect between four and five hundred visitors on this site everyday. Weekends are a little less but some weekdays I may have over 500 hits. That's a lot of people that stop by every day for one reason or another. I got to thinking that there are probably 3 different kinds of visitors to this site (and every other blog for that matter).

  1. SEARCHERS: Those that come to this site for the first time from search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. They are brought here because of a search they've done. My prayer for them is that when they make a stop by here for the first time they'll find something that catches their attention. They'll read something about God, His church, faith, love, marriage or family and they'll want to know more.

  2. LURKERS: I love lurkers. They are the majority around here. A lurker is someone who is a regular reader but never makes a comment. They're more comfortable being anonymous, hiding behind the scenes and not making their presence known. They don't leave comments and that's absolutely fine. I'm blessed by lurkers and welcome them all. I do find it interesting that this month I've had two regular readers, who are lurkers, come out of hiding and email me to say hello.

  3. COMMENT MAKERS: You guys know who you are. You are the ones that read and choose to leave a comment. Let me say from the bottom of my heart, I love your comments. I read everyone and sometimes read them twice. Although I don't always respond to every comment, I never take anything you say lightly. You encourage me, challenge me and strengthen me by your comments. You make me smile when you say something funny and sometimes I even laugh out loud. While I've enjoyed getting to know many of you through the blogging community, I know that many of us will not meet face to face till someday when we enjoy heaven together. And that will be alright, because we'll have plenty of time to get to know one another then.

You know ... I'm really looking forward to heaven ...

WE'RE GOING TO BRISTOL, BABY
Yee Haw! A few months ago my wife made a comment in passing on my blog about how much she wishes I'd get her tickets to the Saturday night race a Bristol, Tennessee. Yea, right Lea. Like that would ever happen. We'll honey, we're going to Bristol in two weeks for the "Sharpie 500."

A friend of mine, who is far better to me then I deserve, read Lea's comment and started working to find tickets. He called me last week and said, "I got you two tickets to Friday night's race and two ticket to Saturday night's race, plus room and board are covered for your trip. You just need to take care of your plane tickets." I think we can handle that.

Bristol tickets are the hardest to get in NASCAR. From what I understand, they sellout years in advance. Now you know why I'm pumped.

Lea and I love sports. Major League Baseball, NFL football and NASCAR have always been sports we like to watch. But Lea's real love is NASCAR. We've made races at Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas the last 6 years. We even celebrated an anniversary by flying to Richmond, Virgina, a few years ago, and catching a race there. But Bristol has just been a dream ... till now.

So, the kids are lined up, the plane tickets purchased and we're less than two weeks from the green flag dropping. Bristol Motor Speedway here we come.

PS - It worked for Bristol tickets so I thought I might also mention here that I'd love to go to the Super Bowl, the World Series, Hawaii, the beach and those new Chevy pickups are really cool. ;) Just kidding.

So, have you ever been given a gift that just "overwhelmed" you?

  1. Your spouse carries a picture of the back of your head in their wallet because this is what they normally see.

  2. Sitemeter goes down and you have a panic attack.

  3. The first thing you do when visiting a new blog is to see if your blog is on their blogroll.

  4. Your spouse's lawyer serves you with divorce papers by leaving a comment on your blog.

  5. One of your children walk up to you while you're at your computer and you ask, "Now, which one are you?"

  6. Your mom finds out you're having another child by reading your blog.

  7. You find yourself thinking, “That's a great blog idea,” so you get out of bed in the middle of the night to write the idea down.

  8. You’re putting off going to bed with your beautiful wife so that you can think of number ten on your top ten list.

  9. You decide to take a sabbatical from your blog for a full day.

  10. You have more friends in the blogging world than in your real world.
